Raise your hand if you’re not the best at following in depth recipes but love trying new foods…*raises hand* 😀 Today I’m sharing one of my recent and favorite go-to meals that I make for dinner and lunch. It is super easy and super tasty! It makes great for left overs or meal planning #winning
What I love about this is that you can pretty much make it with whatever veggies you like and whatever protein you prefer as well. This makes about 2 to 3 servings (depending on your appetite lol) So let’s get on with it!
What You’ll Need
- 1/2 lb of beef for stir fry
- 2-3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
- 2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Vegetable Oil
- Stir Fry Kit of Veggies | Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots, Cabbage, Pea Snaps.
The Meat | Marinate
I like to marinate the meat for about 15-20 minutes. The marinate consists of 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp of Sesame oil and 1 Tsp of Garlic powder. Depending on how much meat I buy, I adjust a little bit. But basically enough of each to cover the entire meat.
The Veggies
I don’t like to complicate my life, so honestly, I usually just buy this awesome stir fry kit by Taylor Farms. (It comes with a teriyaki sauce included, but I DON’T use it) They have different “kits” so each one comes with different veggies. You can also skip the bag and just include whatever veggies you like. I sometimes like to add mushrooms, onions, and jalapeños 😉
Lets Get Cookin’
Heat large saute pan on medium-high. Add one Tbsp of vegetable or canola oil and cook meat. I then add more soy sauce and garlic powder to taste. About 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 Tsp of garlic powder.
Once meat is almost to the point how you like it, move it to one side of the pan and add all the veggies to the other half of the pan. I like to add a tiny bit more soy sauce or sesame oil for taste to the veggies only. Once the veggies start to soften a little, I then combine the two together and cook through how you like your veggies. And you’re all done!
…and we’re done!
I like to put my stir fry with a side of rice. I usually have this whole grain and chia seed rice with some sracha sauce. Oh yeah! AND like I mentioned above, this makes great left overs for lunch. I hope this was helpful! If you try it out be sure to post a pic and tag me on it 😉 Enjoy!!
