Greetings everyone! I am so excited about today’s post as it is beauty related, and I love me some beauty related stuff. Today I am sharing with you what I slap on my face on a day to day basis. For the most part I like to focus on … looking alive. Haha! Seriously. It is a super simple look. There are quite a few products but it is all about light layers. So here we go…

(side note- these may seem out of order to you, but this is literally the order in which I put them on…)

Base – BB Cream

I love Loreal’s Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream  (shade fair). I’ve been using this product for months! It is a light to medium coverage and I absolutely love it! I get compliments on my beautiful “skin” all the time, and I have this to thank.

It comes out white-ish, but don’t worry once you start to blend it in to your skin the color changes to the actual shade. I like to use a small amount, warm it up in my fingertips then apply it to my entire face and a little down my neck.

Concealer

Like I said, I like to look alive, so I load up on concealer. I first apply Benefit’s Erase Paste (shade Fair No. 1). I’ve been using this one for years! It is definitely a favorite and must have for me. Specially now that I am a mom and don’t get as much sleep.

Curl & Mascara 

My lashes are so straight. They are stubborn. They don’t keep a curl. So I curl them and apply a coat of mascara. At the moment I am trying this one out, but I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. The mascara I used for years was discontinued (sad face) and after about year, I am still looking for one that is just as good. Anyway, curl and thin coat. Done.

Starting to look a little alive now… 

Eyebrows

This one is probably the most important one for me. As you can tell by the pics so far, I have scars and bald spots on my right eyebrow (from an accident I was in when I was little) and it is also a little bit higher than my normal looking eyebrow…so for me trying to make both of my eyebrows look similar is a big one. This is one of the things I am the most insecure about. I know, it is just scars, but whatever, that is just how I feel about it. I use the matte brown eye shadow in my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette  along with a small Anastasia brow brush. I brush out the brows and just fill them in as best as I can. This is what seems to work the best for my scars and it stays on all day long.

 

BAM! Eyebrows!

Concealer No. 2

Told you it’d be a little out of order. Okay, so now I go to this Dream Lumi concealer. I use a tiny bit to highlight just under my eyes. It is so brightening. I love it.

Bronzer

Love Hoola by Benefit bronzer. I use it every single day. I take it around my face, cheek bones (I like to pretend I have cheek bones 😉 ) and down my neck a bit.

Blush 

Blush is another favorite of mine…Coral Cove by Milani. This one is my go-to. It has been for about a month. Just be careful with this one, a little goes a long way. I like to just dust some on the cheeks and blend a little up towards the hair line. (Just a bit, lets not go crazy with this).

Finally…

If I have time I’ll finish it up with another curl and coat of mascara. I like big lashes. And that is it, my friends. Here is what I look like at the end…

Kind of a big difference, right? I hope so, that is the whole point why I wear makeup. To look a little different, and feel a little better. Its makeup, let’s not take it too seriously.

I want to emphasize that the key for me is light layers. I don’t like to look cakey, and this routine does it for me. (I get it done in 10 minutes, yas!) If I’m feeling fancy I will add some winged liner; or on the weekends a bit of a bronzy eye shadow. But for the most part I like simple, natural looks.
